Eternal Sunshine of the Thoughtless Mind

A common notion dictates that talking about the weather is a way to drum up mundane conversation. It's a way to fill in the gaps between banter and meaningful discussions.

For me, it has apparently become a way of life and seemingly my only mode of communication with my longtime friends and family. My Eastern contingent constantly prods, "How's the weather there?" or, "Man, I'm jealous u're in the sunshine. It's a blizzard here! Lolololol!"

Great - my existence has transformed into a pile of discussions on barometric alterations. So THAT'S the Good Life Kanye was talking about!

That's not to say that I don't enjoy my surroundings. Sure, the beach is nice - even though my friends are already sick of going there. Wearing shorts in January was fun, and I did come out here for new experiences. However, at least with the weather, I've found nothing but stagnant tranquility. My skin color hasn't even had the chance to enjoy paradise yet.

Sure, I love bragging about my climate. But please remember - that's not the whole story!!!
